Good to know

Getting to and from the Princess Margaret Beach area is easy and part of the fun of staying here. The area is just a few minutes from Port Elizabeth and the main harbour, making it very accessible without feeling busy. Most guests get around by taxi, which are readily available and inexpensive across Bequia. It’s a short drive to restaurants, grocery stores, the ferry terminal, and other beaches. For guests who enjoy independence, rental vehicles are also a popular option and work well for exploring the island at your own pace. One of the unique perks of staying near Princess Margaret Beach is that you’re not limited to roads. Guests can arrive by boat, hop on water taxis from the harbour, or even move between nearby beaches by sea. On calm days, confident swimmers can literally swim along the shoreline to neighbouring spots, something that makes this area feel truly special and very “Bequia”. Between taxis, boats, short walks, and the sea itself, getting around feels effortless, relaxed, and very much in tune with island life.
